|Non-player characters (NPCs) are characters in the world that are controlled by the Dungeon Master and may serve to help or hinder you on your quest. Some NPCs are nonessential, but others are a critical part of the campaign.
||Campaigns start in the middle of a story, and that story is a piece of history within a civilization. History,stories and myths are important in world building in order to understand how we got where we are in time.
||Some items are shared between all the characters. These items include maps and world knowledge that would be available to every character before the campaign even starts.
